Simple model to assemble - a single polystyrene body and a polystyrene underframe. I use Quick Grip to glue them together.
Paint wagon red. There are many similar colour paints you can use. It's worth using a few of them on different wagons to give a bit of variety in tone, as you would find variation between real wagons.
Roofs are mostly silver.
Make sure you put a clear gloss coat before the decals and a flat (dull) coat after the decals have dried.
