The first series T Class, otherwise known as "flat tops" arrived on the scene in 1955, lasting until the mid 1980s. About half of the 27 flat tops were rebuilt as P Class locos, still in operation today.

Some of the originals have reappeared in the new era of heritage railways with some finding their way into freight runs to earn their keep.

This model is available as ready-to-run, made by Aust-N-Rail. Try your local hobby shop or mail order from Aust-N-Rail.

They are powered by the excellent Atlas VO1000 chassis so run very well. They are geared for reliable, low speed operation. Some earlier model Atlas VO1000 chassis are still around. These are geared for higher speed.

The shells are cast and painted in China.
