Welcome to a beginner's view of modelling
Victorian Railways in N Scale.

Alternatively titled "N Scale modelling of Victorian Railways for beginners, novices, dummies, klutzes, anyone."

Once a railway modelling branchline for experienced scratch builders only, Victorian Railways in N scale is now open to anyone. Whilst the range of Australian N scale models in most hobby shops is fairly limited, it is slowly growing. Much more is available, particularly in kit form, if you know where to look. Some of the kits require reasonable modelling skills but many are simple enough to assemble for people like me with no previous modelling experience.

The objectives of this Website are

Even an absolute klutz with no previous experience in model railways can start out in N Scale Victorian Railways. Trust me, this is a pretty accurate description of yours truly.

Models displayed on these pages are ready-to-run models or kits assembled, painted and detailed by beginners. OK, some of them really look like just that, but I think some of them have come up pretty well, too.
